The following videos show some basic aspects of the tool working.

Using the Tool

In fig. 1, below, nodes can be situated and moved, either individually or as a group. Links persistently follow the node.

In 3D, shadows and lighting are an issue. Fig. 2 shows our current solution, which is to shade nodes within situations so that the more forward they are, the lighter they appear. This will help differentiate between background and foreground within nodes.

Depth

In fig 3., the ability to travel around shapes can be seen.

Nested Nodes

Below, figure 4 shows how nested nodes travel with their situations when moved.

Voice Recorder

There are no keyboards in VR, so in order to ‘type’ new nodes, voice will be used. Below (fig. 5) is a demonstration of node information being dictated. Since this was made, the capability for this text to be deposited in a new node has been added.

Highlight, cut, paste, delete.

Again, with no keyboards, a new method is needed to manage text – highlighting, copy, cut and paste. Below, in fig. 6, John has altered the laser tool to do these things.
